Before we go
13:25 or 14:30?
For October 3, Mark’s September 18 update lists Virgin VS0141 at 13:25. Earlier airline email and app evidence showed 14:30. The itinerary now uses 13:25, with arrival at LAX at 17:45; check the current booking before travel.
Airport connections & drivers
September 22: we arrive at Heathrow, but the next flight leaves Gatwick. The transfer between airports still needs confirming.
September 23: Curated & Bespoke transfer is tied to the 12:00 Salzburg arrival; meet the driver after baggage claim, with a name sign. Driver details are due close to arrival.
October 3: Curated & Bespoke pickup is 04:45 in the updated plan. Mike and Joanna’s BA591 receipt shows Malpensa Terminal 1 to Heathrow Terminal 5, 08:10–09:15. Mark and Katie’s BA tickets and the driver’s airport destination still need checking. Virgin departs Heathrow Terminal 3.
Train days & tickets
September 27: the updated detailed Salzburg–Zürich–Luzern schedule arrives at 20:25, with just seven minutes to change in Zürich. That is 7 hours 29 minutes; the same update’s summary says 20:00 / 7 hours 15 minutes. Check the current journey and collect the actual ÖBB tickets; the confirmation alone is not a ticket.
October 1: four first-class SBB tickets and seat reservations are documented. IC 667 leaves Luzern at 10:18; change in Lugano in eight minutes to S 25769, then in Mendrisio in six minutes to S 25569, arriving Cantello Gaggiolo at 12:40. Seats are reserved for the Luzern–Lugano leg. Check platforms and keep the tickets handy.
Vitznau and Italy arrival cars are reported arranged by the hotels; exact station meeting points and driver contacts still need confirming.
Hotel & activity details
The updated Sacher plan is four nights in a three-bedroom suite. The earlier direct confirmation lists three adults for our party of four; ask the hotel to reconcile the guest count.
Honegg’s confirmation contains conflicting cancellation deadlines and a short payment window. Clarify the deadline and who will watch for the hotel’s message.
Final Panorama tour vouchers and pickup details are still needed. September 28 now has ladies’ massages at 10:00, guys’ massages at 11:15 and the Lake Lucerne boat from 14:00–17:00 in Mark’s update. October 2 Aura Boat is reported booked; confirm the meeting point and cash amount/currency with the captain.
Travel documents & cover
Check passports, each carrier’s baggage rules, seats and any entry requirements for the travelers before departure.
The available insurance documents do not establish cover for the full holiday. Ask the existing travel coordinator or insurer to clarify the personalized policy and eligibility.
